What this gives you

From first sketch to maintenance — one partner who handles everything in-house.

01

One partner, from A to Z

You call one number. We measure, design, produce, install and maintain. No fragmented responsibility, no waiting on subcontractors pointing at each other.

02

You see it before it exists

A 3D visualisation of your own façade or space, by day and by night. We only start producing once that image is right. No surprises afterwards.

03

In-house production in Olen

Custom work from our own workshops, without intermediaries. That means a shorter lead time, a sharper price, and changes that are genuinely still possible.

04

Built to last

ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. Colourfast, weather-resistant materials and energy-efficient LED lighting. With long-term service and maintenance.

Background

Asphalt graphics: marking on rough outdoor surfaces

An ordinary floor sticker lifts off asphalt. The substrate is too rough and too porous, and the adhesive finds too little closed surface to bond to. An asphalt graphic is made for exactly that: a thicker, conformable film that presses into the texture of the road surface and stays there.

We supply asphalt graphics to local authorities, contractors, event organisers, schools and businesses, for temporary marking and ground-level promotion.

What they are used for

  • Temporary road marking during works, diversions and events.
  • Route marking at running, cycling and walking events: distance markers, direction arrows, start and finish zones.
  • Ground-level promotion at the entrance to a site, a car park or a festival ground.
  • Marking out parking spaces, loading zones or cycle crossings.
  • Campaign messages on public land, for example on road safety at school gates.

For permanent road marking, thermoplastic marking or paint remains the right route. Asphalt graphics are intended for what has to come off again.

How they work

The film is thicker and softer than ordinary sticker vinyl. You lay it on the cleaned substrate and press it down, usually with a rubber roller or simply by walking over it. Some versions are heat-activated, after which they settle fully into the structure of the asphalt.

The top layer has an anti-slip finish, which on a walking route or a cycle path is not a detail but a requirement.

Preparation determines the result

This is where it goes wrong in practice.

  • The substrate has to be dry and clean. Dust, sand and oil block adhesion completely.
  • Temperature counts. Below a certain substrate temperature the adhesive no longer bonds; installing in winter is generally a bad idea without heating.
  • Fresh asphalt still contains oils that need to gas off. Wait long enough after a new layer is laid before applying.
  • Roll the graphic down thoroughly, including along the edges. A lifted edge is where a tyre pulls it off.

Service life and removal

On a footpath or a cycle path a well-applied asphalt graphic lasts for months. On a carriageway with motor traffic it wears faster, depending on the volume. For a weekend event or a campaign of a few months that is more than enough.

Removal is done by hand, with heat if necessary. On old or weathered asphalt a faint shadow can remain. Discuss that in advance where the location is a sensitive one.

What determines the price?

Asphalt graphics have no fixed unit rate. The cost follows from the format and shape, whether contour cutting is involved, the quantity and therefore the spread of the print set-up cost, the film quality and the expected service life, and whether we install as well.

Tell us the quantity, the format and the intended service life, and you will get a quotation with those items listed separately.

Prices are available in the Herva-Doublet Platform.

Requesting a proposal

Send us your artwork and tell us what substrate the marking goes on and how long it has to stay. We will propose the right film and say when installation is best avoided.

Frequently asked questions

Hoelang gaat wagenbestickering mee?

Didn't find what you were looking for?

What you see here is a selection. Our range is considerably wider — in sizes, materials and finishes that we cannot all show online. Tell us what you need it for and where it has to go, and we will work out what fits.
