What this gives you

From first sketch to maintenance — one partner who handles everything in-house.

01

One partner, from A to Z

You call one number. We measure, design, produce, install and maintain. No fragmented responsibility, no waiting on subcontractors pointing at each other.

02

You see it before it exists

A 3D visualisation of your own façade or space, by day and by night. We only start producing once that image is right. No surprises afterwards.

Background

Domed 3D stickers: relief you can feel

A 3D sticker is a printed sticker with a clear resin layer over it that domes as it cures. That layer — known as doming — gives the image depth, gloss and a relief you can feel. The difference from a flat sticker is immediately visible: the logo looks more like an inlaid emblem than an applied graphic.

We produce domed stickers for businesses, machine builders, motor trades, sports clubs and brands that want their logo applied to a high standard.

Where they are used most

On machinery and equipment, where the rating plate or the brand logo has to stay legible for years and stand up to cleaning agents. On vehicles and trailers as an emblem. On electronics and accessories. And as a name plate on furniture, reception desks and showroom displays.

In short: anywhere an ordinary sticker looks too cheap and a machined or engraved emblem is too expensive or too heavy.

What the doming does

The resin layer has three effects at once. It magnifies optically, which makes small text read more sharply. It protects the print against scratching, UV and chemicals, because the ink sits under the layer rather than on top of it. And it gives a gloss and depth that flat printing cannot achieve.

The layer is slightly flexible, which means the sticker can take a mild curve. On a strongly curved surface, such as a thin tube, it works less well — there we are better off discussing an alternative.

Shape, substrate and adhesion

Domed stickers are contour cut, so the shape of your logo determines the shape of the sticker. Fine tapering points and very thin connections are vulnerable; where necessary we adjust these slightly in the production file and show you that in advance.

Adhesion depends on the substrate. On coated metal, glass, smooth plastics and powder-coated steel the standard adhesive bonds excellently. On untreated, porous or greasy material it does not. For difficult substrates and for outdoor applications on vehicles we use a stronger adhesive layer.

Always clean the substrate without any maintenance product before application, and press down from the centre outwards.

Service life

Indoors a domed sticker lasts practically indefinitely. Outdoors, the quality of the resin and the ink determines how long the colour holds up. A version with UV-stable resin does not yellow and lasts for years, including on a south-facing façade or on a vehicle. A cheap version yellows visibly within a summer or two. We supply the UV-stable version as standard and say so when a lighter one is enough.

What determines the price?

Domed stickers have no fixed unit rate. The cost follows from the format, the shape and whether contour cutting is involved, the quantity — the set-up cost of the cutting form and the print is spread across the run, which makes a hundred pieces far better value per piece than ten —, the quality of the resin and the adhesive layer, and whether the sticker is used indoors or outdoors.

Send us your logo as a vector file, the format you need and the quantity, and you will get a quotation in which those items are visible.

Prices are available in the Herva-Doublet Platform.

Requesting a proposal

Send us your logo and tell us what the sticker goes on. We will indicate whether the substrate is suitable and produce a full-size sample proposal.

Frequently asked questions

Hoelang gaat wagenbestickering mee?

What you see here is a selection. Our range is considerably wider — in sizes, materials and finishes that we cannot all show online. Tell us what you need it for and where it has to go, and we will work out what fits.
